In this motorbike tour, we will discover A Luoi district, which is located in the West of Thua Thien Hue Province, 2 hours drive from Hue city. It is blessed with beautiful landscapes, rich wildlife and nature, and the colourful traditional cultures of several ethnic groups including Taois K’tu. A Luoi is also the site of many battles during the American/Vietnam war. Among the better known military sites in the vicinity of A Luoi are landing zones Cunningham, Ershine and Razor, as well as Hill 1175( west of the valley) and Hill 521 (in Laos). Further south in the Ashau valley is Hamburger Hill (A Bia mountain). In May 1969, American forces on a search- and destroys operation near Laos border fought in one of the fiercest engagements of the war, suffering from many terrible casualties… ..

Day 1: Hue Motorcycle Tours to A Luoi Town and A Hua Village: Visiting Ta Oi Ethnic Minority (L/D)
In the morning, travel to A Luoi Town, having sightseeing and visiting local market, then continue to A Shau village and arrive for lunch. Afterwards, walk around the village to learn about Ta Oi way of life: weaving (cloth, bamboo, or rattan) demonstration, agricultural activities, cooking, and visiting a local school. In the evening, enjoy dinner and cultural show performed by Taoi people.

After breakfast, we go for trekking to Hamburger Hill and return to the village for lunch or have picnic lunch at the hill. Afterwards, depart for your next destination.

Stick to the basics… ride on the right side of the road, keep your eyes on the road and be alert. People often say “when you’re in ROME, just do like Romans do”. Riding a motorbike in Vietnam is different from driving in Europe or North America, so even if you stick to the rules, 99% chance the locals next to you won't. So be alert and stay safe! You can just obtain our Vietnamese driving license once you’re long-term officials working & living in Vietnam under the business visa within 6 months or more. But if you are just regular travelers having short-term tourist visa, this seems to be impossible.
