This 12-day Hoi An Motorcycle Tour to Hanoi on Ho Chi Minh trail brings you a chance to explore best landscapes and war relics from Central to the North and learn different cultures of Vietnam. You’ll take a chance to visit famous destinations such as Hue, A Luoi, Khe Sanh, Dong Hoi, Phong Nha, Ky Anh, Vinh, Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Mai Chau in Hoa Binh then Hanoi.
Hoi An Motorcycle Tour to Hanoi on Ho Chi Minh trail – Tour Itinerary :
Day 1: Hoi An Motorcycle Tour to Hanoi on Ho Chi Minh trail: Hoi An motorbike tour to Hue ( 175 km – 6 hours ride) (B, L, D)
Leaving Hoi An for Hue, we visit incense and mat making villages to learn more about the rural life of locals who live in the Center of Vietnam, Marble Mountain, ceramic making village…ect. stop on the top of Hai Van Pass to have some great shots of the panoramic views between beach and mountain, Da Nang and Hue . Having lunch and relax on one of the most beautiful beaches of Vietnam, Lang Co Beach, visit conical hat making village in Phu Bai before arriving in Hue around 5 pm.
Day 2: Hoi An Motorcycle Tour to Hanoi on Ho Chi Minh trail: Hue motorbike tours ( around 100 km – 3 hours ride) (B, L, D)
Hue was used to be an ancient capital of Vietnam, so it’s worth staying one day to visit and learn more about the Vietnamese traditions, history, customs, culture. Go to visit Thien Mu Pagoda pagoda, Kim Long old village where you can learn the Vietnamese people make the traditional rice wine, the way locals harvest rice on the fields, Hue Museum , citadel, ride on the boat to listen to Hues folk songs at night
Day 3: Hoi An Motorcycle Tour to Hanoi on Ho Chi Minh trail: Hue motorcycle tour to A Luoi ( 90 km – 4 hours ride) (B, L, D)
Leaving Hue for A Luoi, we visit Nam Giao ancient village, Hue citadels, Minh Mang Tomb, orange agent areas to learn more about the war. Then we head to the Ho Chi Minh trail again to visit the historic vestige and battle field Hamburger Hill. Overnight in A Luoi.
Day 4: Hoi An Motorcycle Tour to Hanoi on Ho Chi Minh trail: A Luoi motorbike tour to Khe Sanh (140 km – 4 hours ride) (B, L, D)
Leaving Hue for Dong Ha, stop in Churu Van Kieu villages to learn more about their daily life as well as the legendary resistance against American, stop in Dakrong area and Khe Sanh battle field,…before we arrive in Khe Sanh and stay overnight.
Day 5: Hoi An Motorcycle Tour to Hanoi on Ho Chi Minh trail: Khe Sanh motorbike tour to Dong Hoi (200 km – 7 hours ride) (B, L, D)
Leave Khe Sanh for Dong Hoi, we stop at DMZ and then to Vinh Moc tunnels to learn more about the Civil War of Vietnam before 1975. Continue traveling on Ho Chi Minh trail to see the breath-taking nature of Northern Truong Son mountain. We get to Dong Hoi around 5 p.m and stay overnight.
Day 6: Hoi An Motorcycle Tour to Hanoi on Ho Chi Minh trail: Dong Hoi motorbike tour to Phong Nha ( 70 km – 2 hours ride) (B, L, D)
Leave early in the morning to visit historic vestige Phu Hoa church, the ‘battle field village’, we continue following the Ho Chi Minh trail to Phong Nha Caves , one of the two natural world heritages of Vietnam . Spend around 4 hours to explore the area by foot and boat. Stay overnight in Phong Nha.
Day 7: Hoi An Motorcycle Tour to Hanoi on Ho Chi Minh trail: Phong Nha motorbike tour to Ky Anh ( 180 km – 6 hours ride) (B, L, D)
We leave the marvelous Phong Nha Caves to visit Da Nhay beach, shrimp farms, salt making village, stop on the top Ngang Pass to see the amazing scenery, reaching to Ky Anh around 5 p.m and stay overnight.
Day 8: Hoi An Motorcycle Tour to Hanoi on Ho Chi Minh trail: Ky Anh motorcycle tour to Vinh ( 120 km – 4 hours ride) (B, L, D)
Leave Ky Anh for Vinh (Ho Chi Minh’s homelnd), we visit Huong Tich pagoda, the historic vestige Dong Loc Three Way Crossroad, The Nguyen Du Great Poet Monument, and then Ho Chi Minh Square . We stay overnight in Vinh.
Day 9: Hoi An Motorcycle Tour to Hanoi on Ho Chi Minh trail: Vinh motorbike tour to Thanh Hoa (224 km – 7 hours ride) (B, L, D)
Get on the road to visit Sen village, where Ho Chi Minh was born and grown up, Chua village, we have the chance to learn more about Vietnamese history when you visit the Ba Trieu temple, go to different small villages to see the locals make the traditional mats, marble stones, the way they roll and process tobacco, you will arrive in Thanh Hoa around 5p.m and stay overnight.
Day 10: Hoi An Motorcycle Tour to Hanoi on Ho Chi Minh trail: Thanh Hoa motorcycle tour to Tam Coc and Cuc Phuong Park in Ninh Binh ( 90 km – 3 hours ride) (B, L, D)
Leaving Thanh Hoa in the early morning for Ninh Binh, our motorbike tour continues traveling to ancient capital of many Dynasties of Vietnam, visit the breath-taking nature of Tam Coc – Bich Dong, Bai Dinh Temple ,

Day 11: Hoi An Motorcycle Tour to Hanoi on Ho Chi Minh trail: Ninh Binh motorcycle tour to Hoa Binh ( 140 km – 5 hours ride) (B, L, D)
Leaving Ninh Binh for Hoa Binh, after visiting Ho Dynasty Citadel, we follow the Ho Chi Minh trail to get some great photos before visiting the Spiritual Fish Springs, Fairy Caves , and visit and learn more about the culture of ethnic minority, Muong. Home stay with locals at night in Hoa Binh
Day 12: Hoi An Motorcycle Tour to Hanoi on Ho Chi Minh trail: Hoa Binh motorbike tour to Ha Noi (110 km – 4 hours ride) (B, L)
After breakfast, we visit the Viet – Muong village, Hoa Binh lake, enjoy the wonderful views on the top of Hoa Binh Hydro Electricity, go to the small village to see their daily life. Get to Hanoi around 5 pm. Finish the tour!

– Please be aware that some hotel rooms, especially those in major urban centres or older cities, may be smaller than what you are used to in other parts of the world. Standards and ratings may also be different to your home country.
– Rooms are en-suite and either twin- or triple-share, depending on what you have booked. If you are a solo traveller, you will always be sharing a room with someone of the same sex otherwise you can pay a supplement to possess a single room
– If you are traveling as a couple and would prefer to have a double bed, please officially request a double room with us. We never presume that two people traveling together are a couple, even if you share the same surname, unless informed otherwise.

– Breakfasts are included every day in the hotel (except on the first morning). They are usually ‘continental breakfasts’, which are typical in most countries. A typical breakfast may consist of cereals with milk or yoghurt, bread, croissants, cold meats, cheese and a range of spreads, with fruit juice, tea or coffee to drink. It is rare to get a hot breakfast in Asia, though on some occasions there may be some hot food available as well. Included evening meals are in local restaurants or accommodation places, and are either two or three courses. In most cases table water is provided with the meals, and if you wish to purchase additional drinks you can do so at your own expense.
– If you have any dietary requirements we will make every effort to cater to your specific needs as long as you advise your travel agent when you book, or make note by email before you set out. But please be aware that although we will do everything in our power to arrange it, we cannot guarantee that every restaurant we use will be able to cater to all dietary needs, particularly in Asia. We also cannot cater for tastes or dislikes, as most of our included evening meals feature a set menu.
* Ten Tips to Survive Vietnam’s Traffic: + DON’T spend hours waiting to cross the street on foot: that constant tide of traffic won’t stop until late at night, so
+ DO as the Vietnamese do: take the plunge and inch slowly across. Observe the Miracle of the Red Sea, as the traffic parts like magic, flowing smoothly in front of you or behind, meeting up again on the other side.
+ DON’T make any sudden or unpredictable movements: freeze if you have to, but never lunge forward or backward towards the safety of the sidewalk. In fact, you can do just about anything, but do it with conviction!
+ DON’T forget, if you’re riding or driving, to look where you’re going – all the time: if you hit anything in front of you, then it’s your fault.
+ DO give way to any vehicle bigger and noisier than yours. Trucks and buses are particularly dangerous: often old, sometimes unsafe and usually all over the road.
+ DO watch out for unfamiliar obstacles: water buffaloes, rocks of various sizes, broken-down trucks…, people sitting in the road, missing bridges, girls in ao dai cycling five abreast, slow-moving mountains of farm produce, dog fights, impromptu football matches, piles of building materials – and almost no light on anything at night..
+ DON’T hesitate to take evasive action – even if this sometimes means leaving the tarmac or coming to a dead stop.
+ DO try to avoid getting involved in one of the all-too-frequent minor accidents that plague Vietnam’s roads (and the major ones as well, of course), but if you are unlucky,
+ DON’T lose your cool, in spite of the interference of the large and vocal crowd that may gather: try to settle things amicably and swiftly. Sometimes, paying a reasonable amount of money will save you a lot of hassle.
+ DO remember that the only rule is: you’re not allowed to bump into anybody… irrespective of what they did or should have done, or of what the road signs or traffic lights were telling them to do. Some people still seem to think that anything red means forward, comrade
* Tipping for guides & mechanic: Our crews never expect tips themselves and will not ask for any; that’s not what friends do! However, so if you are really satisfied with all of what they did for you, please don’t mind tipping them a bit with a normal norm of US$ 7 – US$ 10/person for a guide per day and US$ 3 – US$ 5/person for a mechanic per day. (just don’t forget Mum’s souvenir).
